Our Classes

LITTLE TASTE MAKERS is speech pathologists run cooking and food-play experience. We call it our Sensory Kitchen. Our mission is to assist your little ones in expanding their food repertoire by exploring different tastes, smells and textures. We specialize in using speech/language skills, sensory integration, culinary exploration and food-play classes to help your child learn how to handle and eat a variety of foods. At the end, creating unique experiences to expand their culinary journey.

Early Feeders Club

Age 6–12 Months, 30 mins

Our Early Feeders Club is for children who are transitioning to solids, ages 6-12 months old. Children will have the opportunity to taste new foods in a safe environment and get messy with different foods and textures to stimulate their sensory motor and feeding skill development. Classes will also target socialization skills and speech and language growth through play based activities. Caregivers will be provided with tips and tricks to use at-home to continue the transition process with optimal efficacy/success. Additionally, this class will provide a safe space for caregivers to ask personal questions regarding the transition process.

Mini Kid’s Club

Age 12 – 18 months, 45 mins

Our Mini Kids Club is for ages 12–18 months. Children will be introduced to different foods in each class and partake in hands-on sensory based activities with the food–which they can eat at the end! Each class will also have additional activities (ex: books, games, music, arts & crafts) that relate to that week’s theme. In addition to feeding skills, classes will encourage socialization skills and target speech and language development through play based activities.

Little Kids Club

Age 18-24 months, 45 mins

Children will be introduced to different foods in each class and partake in hands-on activities to build fun projects with the food–which they can eat at the end! Each class will also have additional activities (ex: books, games, music, arts & crafts) that relate to that week’s theme. In addition to feeding skills, classes will encourage socialization skills and target speech and language development through play based activities.

Big Kids Club

45 mins

Big Kids Club classes are broken up into 4 different groups:

  • 2-4 years old

  • 4-6 years old

  • 6-8 years old

  • 8-10 years old

Incorporating sensory based activities like other classes, this class is more education focused than the other classes. Kids will learn about nutrition, the importance of healthy foods, and learn fun recipes they can use at home to carry over healthy habits. Kids will be introduced to different foods in each class and partake in hands-on activities to build fun projects with the food–which they can eat at the end! Each class will also have additional activities (ex: books, games, music, arts & crafts) that relate to that week’s theme. In addition to feeding skills, classes will encourage socialization skills and target speech and language development. The Big Kids club will be offered during after school hours.
